Progress is an ideal situation everybody wishes to have in life. The word "Progress" denote two things, "movement" and "distance"? Whilst the movement is forward oriented, the distance is a complement which shows improvement from a stage or place to another. This reminds me of a popular motto of a political party which reads "Forward ever, Backwards never". Nature in itself is crafted to function progressively. Take a look at yourself, were you the same as 2,3,5years ago? Remember the places you used to go and play, do you go there now? You think you have passed that age and need a better field of play with equally mature players. Not to think of those days the sharpener was a necessity in school because you used pencil, Is the sharpener of great significance to you now as compared to your elementary school days? There are dozens of examples that are substantial in defending this fact. In as much as everyone wants progress, there is a formidable enemy that opposes us. The train of progress is always derailed by constant and persistent brooding over our regrets of the past and eventually denies us of living a fulfilled life. Everyone has a scar of his/her past of which brings a lot of regrets in life. This is to tell you that you are not the first person to have regrets in life and you wouldn't be the last. That role model of yours, the woman and man you admire most because you think every thing is shuffled perfectly for them in life and the successful people in the world have loads of regrets more than you can ever imagine. Their only secret is their ability and their decision to enduringly move on in life. If you want succeed, you have to progress just like a soccer tournament, to win the coveted prize, you have to progress from one stage to the next stage and another. You cannot wish to progress and at the same time brood over your past regrets and mistakes that tows you off the road to progression. Its time to move on! There are bigger tasks, bigger opportunities, bigger accomplishments and most importantly brighter future ahead of you to be brooding over yesterday. Let it go! Abort them and leave the lessons as remnants, they are the catalysts to progression. Waiting for you on the other side as you progress!
